My Daily Routine

My name is Saad and I am an Electrical Engineer. I work as an IP Network Operations Engineer in a renowned Telecommunications company in Pakistan. I am also doing my Masters in Electrical Engineering from the University of Engineering and Technology, Lahore.

My typical day is different from that of a normal person because of the nature of my job, where I have to work in shifts. The shifts keep on changing from morning to evening and vice versa. For the past few months, I have been working on the evening shift. I usually get up at 2:00 pm and then have lunch which is followed by 20 min journey to the office.

My shifts start at 3:00 pm. My work entails network monitoring, troubleshooting in case of any problems, handling customer complaints, and network management. During my time at work, I mostly stay occupied at work except at around 6:00 pm where I usually have a short duration break for tea or a small snack.

I usually get free from work at around 9:00 pm and reach home super fast to have dinner. It is then followed by a small walk in a park nearby and then a small nap. I get up around 1:00 am and study. I have completed the coursework of Masters and currently working on the thesis. After spending a couple of hours, I take a rest and then work on a few freelance projects.

The rise of the sun marks the end of the day for me. I usually have breakfast at around 7:00 am and I go to sleep afterward until 2:00 pm. So, that was a brief explanation of my typical day. Feel free to post any comments.
